Assemblea Generale dell’Unità Scientifica Centrale C-Computing – USC-C GENERAL ASSEMBLY

We announce the the second General Assembly of the INAF Central Scientific Computing Unit  (USC-C).

It is primarily meant to highlight that  the deadline for submitting abstracts has now been delayed to::

22nd February 2026.

The meeting will take place   from the 9th to the 13th of March 2026 at the SAVOIA Excelsior Palace  in the seashore of Trieste city centre.  Please note that the deadline for the ensured availability at an agreed price of the rooms at the venue of the congress has now already passed. Of course, you can now book the accommodation directly with the Savoia Palace at the market price or check for an alternate accommodation. Trieste offers several options and the website devoted to the event (see below) reports other suggestions.

L’assemblea offrirà una grande opportunità per incontrare tutte le persone INAF coinvolte nelle varie tematiche legate ai dati e alle tecnologie informatiche, così come tutte le persone INAF coinvolte nella progettazione, distribuzione, gestione e supporto delle infrastrutture, degli strumenti e dei servizi digitali per tutto il personale delle diverse strutture INAF. 

Sono altresì in programma parecchi several lectures..

Parallel sessions

Secondo consolidata tradizione, l’assemblea ospiterà anche  series of parallel sessions  dedicated to the  administrative stafffocused on organizational topics, budgeting, and in general on the digitalization of public administrations and on the challenges related to the development of new management systems, and the use of those already acquired.

costs and fees

Grazie al sostegno dell’USC-C, non è prevista alcuna quota di iscrizione per il personale INAF, che dovrà ovviamente farsi carico del costo del viaggio e di tutti gli altri costi (vedi website).
