TAP (Table Access Protocol)
The TAP is the IVOA standard adopted by INAF for querying and extracting astronomical data from distributed archives. This protocol provides a unified interface for executing complex queries via the ADQL language, allowing the scientific community to access vast data catalogs efficiently and in a standardized manner.
Thanks to TAP, users can query our databases in either synchronous or asynchronous mode, benefiting from a system designed to ensure data interoperability and full compatibility with the main astronomical analysis tools, thereby reducing technical complexities in data retrieval.
