ADASS XXXVI - Astronomical Data Analysis Software and Systems Conference Series

Perth, Australia 1-5 November, 2026

We invite you to the 36th annual conference on Astronomical Data Analysis Software and Systems. The conference will be held November 1-5, 2025 in Perth and hosted by the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR) on the University of Western Australia Campus. The LOC is also supported by the SKAO, AusSRC and CSIRO as well as Data Central to host the IVOA Interop.

This annual conference, hosted by a different institution each year, is a forum for astronomers, computer scientists, software engineers, faculty members and students working in areas related to algorithms, software and systems for the acquisition, reduction, analysis, and dissemination of astronomical data.

The ADASS XXXVI program will include invited talks, contributed papers, tutorials, software demonstrations, and special interest ("Birds of a Feather" or BoF) meetings. These activities aim to stimulate further development of software and systems to meet the data science challenges of astronomy.

Registration and abstract submissions are not open at this time.

As a recent message to this list stated, the Program Organizing Committee is asking the community to propose and vote on the themes you would like to be featured at this year's ADASS. We are using "tricider" to collect your theme suggestions. We would like to remind you that you can submit ideas and vote on the ones already submitted at:

https://www.tricider.com/brainstorming/3OTPwkABqpp

You do not need to register to submit suggestions or to vote. The poll will close at 17:00 HST (GMT-10) on Friday, 6 March, 2025.

The International Virtual Observatory Alliance (IVOA) meeting will be held immediately after ADASS, 6th to 8th of November, also on the UWA campus. Further details will be provided by the IVOA on their web pages (ivoa.net).

Cordiali saluti,

Kathleen Labrie per conto del POC dell’ADASS,

Andreas Wicenec per conto del LOC dell’ADASS XXXVI.
