A quick-fill form developed by the USC-C is now available at the following link:
L’The objective is to gather information regarding the skills (relevant to the USC-C) held by INAF personnel, both past and present.
A non-exhaustive list includes software development (of any nature), IT systems management, data management and maintenance, database development and usage, network creation and management, Open Access policies, FAIR principles, etc.
The complete list is available at the link above; please feel free to add further items (under the "Other" field) if we have missed any specific activities.
The goal is to leverage all the experience accumulated by INAF staff to facilitate the creation of the Institute's IT ecosystem—for example, by avoiding the duplication of efforts, forming expert groups, and having a directory of people to consult when planning new projects (participation in any specific new project will, of course, always be strictly voluntary).
We expect and hope that everyone at INAF (not just researchers) who has developed skills—even in the past—related to USC-C themes will complete the form within the next month, specifically . by the end of July 2023.
